Glow Bambino – Health, Safety, and Hygiene Policy

At Glow Bambino, the health, safety, and well-being of our families are our top priority. We understand the importance of creating a clean, secure, and nurturing environment for babies and young children. Below is an overview of the measures we take to maintain high standards of safety and hygiene during every session:

Safety and Risk Management

  • A written risk assessment is conducted for all venues used, reviewed every three months, and retained for three years.
  • A visual risk assessment is completed prior to every session to ensure the space is clean and hazard-free.
  • Fire drills may be conducted occasionally, with prior notice to all participants.
  • All venues have appropriate toilet and baby changing facilities, which are checked before each session. Please inform us if anything is not up to standard.
  • Trip hazards are minimized by asking participants to store bags and coats away from the session area.
  • Adults are requested to remove shoes and wear socks during sessions for hygiene and safety.


Illness and Cleanliness

If you or your child are unwell with a contagious illness, we kindly ask that you do not attend class.

  • All sensory equipment is cleaned between sessions using safe, high-quality products.
  • Session leaders start each session with clean hands and no outdoor shoes.
  • We use Zoono Z-71 Microbe Shield products to clean sensory items, which provide long-lasting protection against germs. Soft items are washed and thoroughly dried before reuse.
  • Hand sanitiser will be provided at the beginning and end of each session.
  • In case of COVID-19 symptoms or recent contact with a positive case, please refrain from attending.

Sensory Play Equipment

  • Some sensory items used are not classified as toys and may not be suitable for unsupervised use. Items may include:

  • Natural materials (e.g., pinecones)
  • Items with small parts or batteries (recommended for age 3+)

  • Babies and children must be supervised at all times during sessions. Use of all equipment is at your own risk.
  • We will advise when specific items are intended for adult-assisted use only.

Lighting and Electrical Safety

  • All plug-in electrical equipment is PAT tested and checked before each session.
  • We use LED lighting with minimal heat output and avoid UV and strobe lighting to protect developing eyes.
  • Babies should not handle or tamper with any electrical or lighting equipment.
  • We carefully select calming, age-appropriate lighting to enhance the sensory experience. If your child experiences any discomfort, consult your healthcare provider.


Insurance, Safeguarding, and First Aid

  • All Glow Bambino franchises hold full public liability insurance.
  • Session leaders have up-to-date DBS checks and a solid understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • A first aid kit is always available. And leaders are first aid trained.
  • We are committed to anti-discrimination, anti-bullying, and promoting mental health awareness. Discriminatory or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Offenders may be asked to leave without a refund.

Accessibility and Inclusion

  • We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment.
  • We welcome children and families with additional needs and will make reasonable accommodations wherever possible. Please contact us with any specific concerns.

COVID-19 & Unexpected Closures


Attendance is at your own risk. While we follow best practices to minimize risk, we cannot guarantee sessions will be free from illness.

  • In the event of cancellations due to lockdowns or government restrictions, we will:

  • Pause sessions and resume when permitted
  • Offer a 50% refund for remaining classes if you cannot or choose not to return
  • Alternatively, you may transfer your space to another person
  • Full refunds are not available in these circumstances


Standard Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking and Refunds

  • All sessions must be pre-booked and paid in advance via our online booking system, ClassForKids.
  • Cancellations made 7 days before the start of a block will be eligible for:

  • A 75% refund (25% retained as an admin fee), or
  • A transfer of booking to a friend (must be confirmed with the session leader).
  • If there is an orange or red weather warning, classes will be cancelled for everyone’s safety and no refunds will be offered.
  • Once a block has started, all bookings are non-refundable unless cancelled due to government-imposed restrictions. Please see our COVID-19 policy for details.


Payment and Confirmation

  • Upon booking via ClassForKids, you will receive automated confirmation. If not, please contact your session leader. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment is received.
  • For manual bookings, confirmation will be sent once payment is received. Your space is not secure until you receive a confirmation email.

Waiting Lists

To ensure a personal and high-quality experience, class numbers are limited.

  • We maintain waiting lists and will accommodate friends and siblings where possible.

Data Protection

  • We adhere to all relevant data protection laws.
  • Personal data is securely stored via ClassForKids. We never share data with third parties without your consent.

Photography & Social Media

  • We will request your permission to use any photos or videos taken during sessions for promotional use.
  • You are welcome to take personal photos/videos, but please be respectful of others’ privacy and stop if asked.
  • Closed Facebook groups are available for sharing class moments. Please avoid posting personal information and contact your class leader directly for any private matters.

  • By attending sessions, we assume you have read and agree to this policy.
  • Additional policies, including our safeguarding and risk assessments, are available upon request.
